Join the Children’s Rights Readathon
Join us for a week this May for a fun reading challenge for kids, families, classrooms, book clubs, and libraries! Read 20 minutes every day for a week (or more!) and invite others to support your reading. Every page you read helps raise money to protect children’s safety, health, and rights.
What is the Children’s Rights Readathon?
The Readathon is a fun, simple challenge where kids read each day and invite friends and family to support them with donations.
It’s easy to set up, works for all ages, and is a great way for families, book clubs, or classrooms to read together while making a difference.
How It Works:
- Sign Up – Create your fundraising page in minutes
- Set a Goal – Read for 20 minutes a day for one week (or more!)
- Share – Ask friends and family to support your reading
- Read – Track your reading and make a difference
Tip: Families and classrooms can read together, cheer each other on, and share why helping others matters!
Why Children’s Rights?
Children’s Rights is a national nonprofit dedicated to protecting the safety, health, and rights of children. Our mission includes representing immigrant children in federal custody, expanding community-based mental health supports, and addressing family separation within the foster system. When the rights of children are at risk, we stand up for them and lift the voices of children and families directly affected.
How do I Explain the Mission to Young Children?
Children’s Rights is a group of people who work to make sure kids are safe, treated fairly, and get the help they need when things are hard.
Tips to Make Reading Fun
