Work With Us

Children’s Rights is a national advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of children living in or impacted by America’s child welfare, juvenile legal, immigration, education, and healthcare systems. These systems disproportionately harm children of color, LGBTQ/TGNC, and other minority youth.

We use civil rights impact litigation, advocacy and policy expertise, and public education to hold governments accountable for keeping kids safe and healthy. Our work centers on creating lasting systemic change that will advance the rights of children for generations.

We’re always interested in hearing from smart, passionate people who share our commitment to improving the lives of children. Check back often for new staff positions, fellowships and internships – we look forward to hearing from you!

Fellowships at Children’s Rights

Children’s Rights, may, depending on the project’s alignment with CR’s work, sponsor a maximum of two external fellowships per year.  Prospective fellows selected by CR will apply to funding sources such as Skadden, Equal Justice Works, law school-sponsored, or other fellowships with CR’s support. This is a great opportunity for those who are interested in working in one or more of Children’s Rights’ focus areas.

How to Apply
If you would like to pursue a fellowship focused on a specific area of CR’s work, please contact Staff Attorney Katrina Braun at kbraun@childrensrights.org,  providing a summary of your project and your contact information no later than July 15.  Please do not expect to be contacted until after this date.

Children’s Rights is an equal employment opportunity employer, and women, people of color, LGBTQ and gender non-conforming people, people with disabilities, and people with unique lived experience or diverse professional or personal backgrounds and perspectives, are encouraged to apply.
