Work With Us

Children’s Rights is a national advocacy organization that has, for over 25 years, championed the legal rights of children impacted by government systems. Every day, children are harmed by America’s broken child welfare, juvenile justice, education, immigration, and healthcare systems. These systems disproportionately harm children of color, LGBTQ/TGNC, and other minority youth. Children’s Rights uses civil rights impact litigation, policy expertise, and public education to hold governments accountable for keeping all kids safe and healthy.

We’re always interested in hearing from smart, passionate people who share our commitment to improving the lives of our nation’s abused and neglected kids. Check back often for new staff positions, fellowships and internships – we look forward to hearing from you!

Fellowships at Children’s Rights

Children’s Rights, may, depending on the project’s alignment with CR’s work, sponsor a maximum of two external fellowships per year.  Prospective fellows selected by CR will apply to funding sources such as Skadden, Equal Justice Works, law school-sponsored, or other fellowships with CR’s support. This is a great opportunity for those who are interested in working in one or more of Children’s Rights’ focus areas.

How to Apply
If you would like to pursue a fellowship focused on a specific area of CR’s work, please contact Staff Attorney Katrina Braun at kbraun@childrensrights.org,  providing a summary of your project and your contact information no later than July 15.  Please do not expect to be contacted until after this date.

Children’s Rights is an equal employment opportunity employer, and women, people of color, LGBTQ and gender non-conforming people, people with disabilities, and people with unique lived experience or diverse professional or personal backgrounds and perspectives, are encouraged to apply.
