Shaquille O’Neal Presents: Foster Boy

Today, we’re excited to tell you about a new film called Foster Boy. Children’s Rights is honored to be an advocacy partner of the film.

Premiering today at the Nashville Film Festival, Foster Boy tells the story of a young man imprisoned after enduring years of abuse in a for-profit foster care system. Drawn from the real experiences of children in state care, it’s a compelling legal drama that reveals the injustices too many of our nation’s children face every day.

As Shaq, an executive producer of the film, has written: “Too many foster kids are scared, neglected, lonely and abused. They struggle in school, and suffer from low self-esteem and depression. I will not give up on foster kids.” Read Shaq’s op-ed here, and learn more about the film Foster Boy here!
