Don’t Let the Government Forget About Kids
I pledge to raise my voice for kids and demand lawmakers to put children first.
Elected and government officials must evaluate every policy or action through the lens of what is best for children.
The U.S. spends less on children than nearly any other developed nation. Over 11 million American children live in poverty, and on any given night (The Annie E. Casey Foundation), 1.2 million children are homeless (National Alliance to End Homelessness). Our infant mortality rate is the highest among similarly wealthy countries, and we lead the world in incarcerating minors (Commonwealth Fund).
I pledge to:
- Raise my voice in support of laws and policies that secure a stronger, more stable future for children and families.
- Express my dissent when lawmakers take actions that are not in the best interest of every child.
- Share stories and information that raise awareness about the challenges kids face and inspire others to advocate for change.
By adding my name to this pledge, I am speaking up for the well-being of children in America and joining with others who value their safety, health, and happiness.
