Hear the powerful stories of nine people whose lived experiences and passionate advocacy expose the harsh realities of state foster systems that too often fail children. They share their stories not just to reflect on the past, but to ignite urgent action, ensuring no child endures the same hardships. No child should be treated this way.

New videos will be released from Fall 2024 through Winter 2025.

Listen to Ashley’s Story

Ashley Cash (she/her), 22

Ashley was a class member in a Children’s Rights Arizona case. From age 12 to 17, she was in six different group homes and foster homes where she endured years of abuse. She rarely saw her caseworker, despite reporting the abuse. Ashley is currently working towards her Bachelor’s Degree and is interested in becoming an attorney.

“The law of the land is to protect the most vulnerable, and the most vulnerable are elderly and children. So why aren’t we protecting our children?”
