A Thousand and One Community Film Screening

Join us for a complimentary viewing of the 2023 Sundance FilmFestival winner, A Thousand and One—starring Teyana Taylor—about a Black mother who reclaims her son from the foster system.

A Thousand and One tells the story of Inez and her child Terry. It is a story of a mother’s love, a boy’s promise, an uncompromising city and the foster system that failed them. The film’s title refers to the Harlem apartment number where much of Inez and Terry’s life takes place.
