Four Ways to Give at Year’s End
Charitable giving in 2020 has the opportunity to benefit both the institution and the benefactor. With the end of the year rapidly approaching, there are ways that you can continue to support Children’s Rights while making savvy financial decisions at the same time.
Here are just four of the ways you can give strategically at year’s end:
- With recent market strength, now is a good time to contribute appreciated stock.
- A benefit of the 2020 CARES Act: If you don’t itemize, you can still deduct up to $300 in charitable gifts.
- Another benefit of the 2020 CARES Act: You can contribute up to 100% (up from 60%) of your adjusted gross income (AGI) with the option to carry it forward over five years.
- If you are aged 70 ½ +, you can still make Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) from your retirement plan.
We hope that you will consider an end-of-the-year gift to Children’s Rights so that we can continue to hold governments accountable and provide hope for the hundreds of thousands of children we serve.
