Adoption Match Guide
Overview
Children in foster care who await adoption want nothing less than a family that constitutes a “perfect” match. Children’s Rights, together with Collaboration to AdoptUSKids, has developed Finding a Fit that will Last a Lifetime (2006), a best practices guide to help caseworkers match children with prospective adoptive families. Developed through interviews with child welfare professionals, adoptive families and young adults formerly in foster care, this guide can help improve the number of successful, long-term adoptions.
