Paralegal (Bilingual)

Children’s Rights is a national non-profit organization that uses the law to bring about meaningful reform in government agencies that provide foster care, adoptive, juvenile justice, and child protective services. We are seeking a full-time, entry-level bilingual paralegal to join our active litigation program and support our commitment to reforming services for children in state custody. Responsibilities of the paralegal position include conducting legal research, providing support to attorneys in case management, managing case press, and collaborating on case-specific projects. The bilingual paralegal will also be tasked with assisting our Unaccompanied Minors team. In this capacity, the paralegal will attend client meetings and court dates to interpret for Spanish-speaking clients. Additionally, the paralegal will translate documents pertinent to Special Immigrant Juvenile Status petitions and assist with the preparation and filing of all related immigration forms.

  • Candidates must have a B.A. or a B.S. We will not consider applicants who hold a J.D. degree.
  • Exceptional computer and technical skills (including Microsoft Office) and the ability to multitask are required.
  • Knowledge of children’s issues, social services, social justice, civil rights, LGBTQI issues, and/or juvenile justice is a plus. A commitment to reform on behalf of children is essential.
  • Spanish language fluency (oral and written) is required


Salary for this position is $40,000. A full benefits package is provided.
