May Is National Foster Care Month

Every May, Children’s Rights is proud to participate in National Foster Care Month—a time to raise awareness about the more than 435,000 children in foster care.

Want to get involved? Children’s Rights invites you to lift up the voices of kids in foster care and the communities that support them:

  • Read and share powerful stories from our #FosteringTheFuture campaign—like Cherish, who overcame trauma to earn a full-ride scholarship to her dream school, or comedian Monroe Martin, who cracks us up and opens our eyes about the challenges he faced in foster care.
  • Submit your own story: Whether you were in foster care, are a foster or adoptive parent, or made a difference to a child in foster care in your community, we want to hear from you. Contact communications@childrensrights.org
  • Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for campaign updates.
  • Sign up for our e-newsletter and let us know your interests to receive information about the issues you care about most.

Thank you for your caring dedication to our children!
