Catherine Frizell, who once interned for Children’s Rights, returned as a member of the organization’s legal team in 2016. Ms. Frizell also represented children in juvenile delinquency and child protective proceedings for three years as a Staff Attorney at the Legal Aid Society, Juvenile Rights Practice in Brooklyn, New York. Prior to that, she worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for the New Jersey Superior Court – Civil Division.
Ms. Frizell received her B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh, cum laude, in 2006, and her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2012, where she was awarded the Judge I. Leo Glasser Prize for her commitment to public interest law upon graduation.
Before law school, Ms. Frizell taught for three years, having served as a Teach for America Corps Member in Phoenix, Arizona. She was elected to the Teach For America – New York City Alumni Board, and currently serves as its chairwoman.
