Before joining Children’s Rights in 2009, Patrick Almonrode was a litigation associate at Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP in New York City, where he worked on matters ranging from a multi-million-dollar civil fraud action against accounting giant Ernst & Young to pro bono representation of a death-row inmate in Alabama. Previously, Mr. Almonrode clerked for the Honorable Barbara S. Jones, U.S. District Judge, Southern District of New York, and also served as a litigation associate at the national law firm Kronish Lieb Weiner & Hellman LLP.
Mr. Almonrode received his J.D., cum laude, from Fordham University School of Law. While at Fordham, he served as an intern for the Honorable William A. Wetzel, Justice of the Supreme Court of New York, and for the Criminal Defense Division of the Legal Aid Society of New York. Mr. Almonrode holds an M.F.A. in printmaking from the University of Minnesota and a B.A., cum laude, from the University of Dallas.
